Northland, Auckland and Coromandel Peninsula
Remaining rain areas in the south clearing this afternoon, leaving isolated showers and fine spells. Showers clearing tomorrow.
Bay of Plenty and Gisborne
Periods of rain with heavy falls east of Whakatane and North of Tolaga Bay, clearing early morning.
Waikato to Kapiti, including the central plateau
Outbreaks of rain or showers. Fine spells increasing tomorrow with showers becoming confined to the west.
Hawkes Bay to North Canterbury, also Wellington
Rain becoming more persistent tonight, with heavy falls about Wairarapa. A change to showers tomorrow morning, then clearing.
Remainder of Canterbury, Otago and Southland
Areas of low cloud, and some coastal drizzle night and morning. Then becoming mostly fine, but some afternoon showers about the ranges.
Nelson and the West Coast
Fine at first. Showers developing by this evening, mainly about the ranges.
Chatham Islands
Rain developing in the morning.
