Rain developing early morning, with heavy falls about the Divide. Snow down to 800 metres at first, then lowering to all levels by about midday. Easing to snow showers in the afternoon, and clearing and becoming fine by evening.
Wind at 1000m: Northwesterlies 40 km/h, turning southerly 50 km/h by afternoon.
Wind at 2000m: Gale westerlies 80 km/h , turning southwest in the afternoon and strengthening to severe gale 90 km/h gusting 110 km/h.
Free air freezing level: Lowering to 800 metres.
